There are thousands of animals in shelters across Australia waiting to be adopted into a good home - and for the past nine years there’s been one website connecting the right rescue pet to the right owner.
PetRescue.com.au is the largest online rescue pet directory in Australia.
The not-for-profit organisation has helped more than 140,000 pets find a home since its launch in 2004.
Youth Reporter Sarah Motherwell asked Pet Rescue co-founder and website designer Jonh Bishop what its like running Australia’s largest pet rescue directory - and how it all came about.
