But for one 15-year-old, life’s about getting up on stage each week to make an audience laugh and preparing for a comedy tour in Melbourne.
Ciaran Lyons is Perth's youngest professional stand-up comedian and after being in the industry for only a year he’s performed at every major comedy venue in Perth and won the 2012 Rottofest Comedy Compeition, as well as the "Artist's Choice Award" at the Wild West Comedy Fest.
Youth Reporter Sarah Motherwell spoke to him about his art.
