Walking Through MOMA

By SAM LEUNG

Picasso and Warhol have long been championed as pop culture icons in the modern art movement.

But do hanging shovels, giant mobiles of falling snow and a sculpted nest hanging on a meat hook sound familiar?

The works are all part of the Art Gallery of WA’s Picasso to Warhol exhibition, spun from a collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The event brings fourteen modern masters to our shores including Warhol, Picasso and abstractionist Jackson Pollock.

Youth Reporter Sam Leung joined the gallery’s Project Curator Robert Cook for an audio-visual journey through the exhibition.
