At any given time there around 6000 homeless young people in the Perth Metropolitan area alone. Finding them a roof is one challenge; making sure they’re around to sleep under it is another.

Bonnie Davies is the coordinator of the Homeless Youth Suicide Prevention Project at the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia.

Part of the state-wide OneLife strategy, the project aims to better understand and prevent suicide among young homeless people in WA.

Andy Snelling spoke to Bonnie about the program.
